Training workshop on Heat Supply at Magna

For the third time, FfE GmbH has held an energy technology training course for energy officers, technical managers of various companies and plants of the Magna Group in Germany and Austria - this time on the subject of heat supply. The approx. 25 workshop participants were first introduced to theoretical principles and measures for increasing efficiency in the field of heat generation and distribution.

Topics were both conventional and innovative heat generators, the performance of heat flow analyses (pinch analysis) as well as possibilities of heat recovery and the reduction of heat losses. Subsequently, what had been learned was applied in practice: After an inspection of the plant by the host plant, potential measures were discussed in the group. In addition, various calculations for energy efficiency measures were carried out and measures implemented by other companies were analysed.

The aim is then to apply the findings learned at the sites and to implement appropriate measures.
